Their excuse is that they need to see your junk before they estimate. That might be true in order to estimate a load size but their price structure should be fixed. Ask for pricing BEFORE you agree to have them come out. Then compare prices on the internet before making your final decision.

Lastly, maybe you do select a junk removal company that lists their prices on the internet. They come out and look at your junk and quote you a specific load size (say a half load). You then agree to that quote and they perform the work. When they’re done, they show you that the load was actually a ¾ load and they proceed to charge you the higher fee after you only agreed to a half load!
