Houston Junk Removal: Buyer Beware!

We’ve noticed that some of our competitors don’t list their prices on the internet.  If a company doesn't list their prices, there's probably a reason... they're too high!  Their excuse is that they need to see your junk before they estimate.  That might be true in order to estimate a load size but their price structure should be fixed.  Ask for pricing BEFORE you agree to have them come out.  Then compare prices on the internet before making your final decision.

Also, remember the game that jewelry stores have used in the past?  They don’t quote prices but tell you they offer 50% off.  Sounds attractive right?  Until you find out that their prices are over twice that of normal stores!  Beware of discounts when the base prices are not made available!
Lastly, maybe you do select a junk removal company that lists their prices on the internet.  They come out and look at your junk and quote you a specific load size (say a half load).  You then agree to that quote and they perform the work.  When they’re done, they show you that the load was actually a ¾ load and they proceed to charge you the higher fee after you only agreed to a half load!  Therefore, if they intentionally or accidentally misestimate the load size, you pay extra.

Houston Junk Removal: It's Junk - In The News!

As a Houston-based company, we at It’s Junk had been told that if we could ever get an article in the Houston Business Journal, that it would be monumental to the progress and growth of our company.  We called the HBJ and spoke with the editor and briefly told her of our success story of competing head to head against 1-800-GOT-JUNK.  She was impressed and passed us to one of their reports, Allison Wollam.  We left a message and received a call back the very same day from Allison.  She too was very impressed with our story and said that she would definitely do an article on us and it would either appear in the August 5th edition or the August 12th edition of the Houston Business Journal (a weekly publication).

On Friday, August 5th, It’s Junk was highlighted on the 1st and 2nd pages of the prestigious Houston Business Journal in an article titled, “Trash Talk”.  Allison Wollam, did an excellent job of describing the junk removal business, our competition and especially the growth of It’s Junk stating, “revenue has grown over 2000 percent since they opened in May.” 
We hope that this is just the first of many accolades for It’s Junk.  In addition to offering franchises very soon, we have recently made another move to grow the company by adding staff and equipment.  We also just began running radio advertisements in the Greater Houston Area.
